*As moisture gives problem while welding for basic and alloyed electrodes, they need to be dried between 200-400 celciusfor 2-3 hours.

*Alloyed electrodes have to be dried after 2 hours if they are not in air free pack age or the air package has opened. The required time is 4 hoursfornon-alloyed electrodes .

NOTE:  Ovenstake time tor each maximum tempera ture and its not recomended to goover.

It takes about 8 hours if dry in unit is coldand full of electrodes. Amount of electrodes are also important for drying process because electrodes which are close to walls each recomended temperature earlier than the ones which stay in center.
